It can be very easy to end up with a lot of files saved here there and everywhere. We are often in such a rush, that you can easily save a file somewhere very quickly and have a hard time finding it again. Especially, if when you first download or save something, you simply allow it to go into the ‘recently downloaded’ or an automatically created folder. However, getting yourself organised does not have to be a difficult task, it only takes a few simple steps.
Start with a simple organisation system that will include only a few main folders and then subfolders within the main folders. You can start sorting files into the main folders that help group similar items together then proceed to sort those files further into the more specific subfolders. To reduce clutter, be sure to delete the old and unused files that you really do not need to hang on to. These will simply add to the clutter and take up memory.
Stay on top of your organisation once you have created these new folders. Every time that you save something new, go ahead and save it to the corresponding folder. It doesn’t take very much extra time to save it to the correct place from the get go and that will help keep you organised.
